Ms. Paulette Nichols, a retiree from UNICEF, has managed and contributed to several situation analyses and assessments in Africa (e.g., Angola and Southern Sudan) and the Eastern Caribbean States (i.e., Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. She has also led a team to conduct an assessment of the effectiveness of non-governmental organizational (NGO) activities to support Mozambican refugees in Zimbabwe. She has a stellar understanding of the role of the host government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), human rights needs, gender, child protection and rights, Early childhood development (ECD), and United Nations-NGO partnerships in all three phases of the humanitarian spectrum (preparedness, response, and recovery).
