The City of Peekskill, NY opened its new, 30,000 square foot Central fire station on the fringes of its revitalizing downtown. The project involved evaluating multiple sites to consolidate four existing facilities across the City. Mitchell Associates Architects of Voorheesville, NY designed and programmed the facility with extensive engagement with the fire department and City.

“This was a great project that continues our strong partnership with Architect Bob Mitchell. By working together as architect and planner, we not only assured that the selected site would satisfy response time concerns, but we expedited he approval process within the City. The site selected and the quality of the building make a strong statement of support for the fire department, and defines a clear gateway to downtown,” said Charles Jennings, Manitou Principal for Planning and Public Safety. Architect Bob Mitchell and Charles Jennings are pictured above at the building’s dedication.
