Dr. Tristi Nichols undertakes a formative evaluation in Bangladesh

(August 2014) for the Let Us Learn (LUL) program.  The objective of this evaluation is to generate a synthesis of global progress, innovation, and learning in relation to the program’s three equity pillars: (1) Reaching out-of-school children; (2) Expanding girls’ education; (3) Improving the quality of outcomes for learners. As part of this evaluation’s focus is on innovation in programming equity-related issues (among other areas), it is important to understand and share universal achievements.  For learning, the evaluation team collects information about challenges to approaches and about the subsequent good practices that have been put in place to offset challenges.  This wide-reaching program covers five countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Liberia, Madagascar, and Nepal, and each country’s achievements are assessed by different evaluation consultants.  The contractual agreement that Dr. Nichols is expected to fulfill includes working with this large team of evaluators who have also engaged in evaluation efforts in the respective countries.
